About
The purpose of Frami is the union of licenced taxidrivers in Iceland, has always been to protect the interests of its members and especially to the government. More recently, in the era of the so-called liberalism, more has been applied to taxi drivers and tried to break the existing restraint system, ie. limitation. This applies primarily to those who believe that it is better to operate a taxi without government intervention and, on the other hand, to those who believe that customers pay less if the concurrence on the market is ruling and the security issues left unchecked. The limitation on the number of taxis is, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, a real prerequisite for maintaining good and quality service. Frami is a member of the Association of Icelandic Taxi drivers of BÍLS along with other drivers and individuals around the country.
